This product is inconsistant Have worn the 35001 for years. Overall they have been fine, thought the belt loops have a tendency to pull out of the fabric. I bought 2 more pair via the online store and found an issue with the side pockets immediately. The jeans fit fine and still had the long zipper, but I also buy these because of their deep pockets. As soon as I put my iPhone 6 Plus in the pocket, I knew something was wrong. The pockets were not as deep as before. I measured the pockets of my old pair and the 2 new ones, first from the top of the jean to the bottom of the pocket and then the length that the pocket was sewed along the outer leg seam. The pocket length on my old jeans was 14" and it was sewed along 9" of leg seam. Those measurements on one new pair was 12" and 7" and on the other 13" and 9". to make matters worse, the pockets on my old jeans were nearly squared off at the bottom while the new ones were tapered, restricting room at the bottom. I expect consistency within model/style lines, but Wrangler does not deliver. I will no longer order online because I don't know what I will get, returns are a pain #items aren't shipped in a reusable package# and the final insult is that I have to pay for the return. I will also note that the online store is often out of many sizes and does not offer all products in all colors. I'm mainly an online shopper and this is one of the worst experiences I have had. Still like the jeans, the cargo pants and the Riggs line, but don't care for the online store. November 17, 2014
I love this jean~~~ I have purchased this jean for over 10 years. They are rugged (duh) and last a long time. The fit is great for me because of very muscular thighs. I have one concern. I have a tendency to carry lots of change in my pockets and they tend to wear very thin and develop holes. If there is a way to make the pocket lining thicker more re-enforced they would be totally perfect. November 5, 2014
Baggy I guess this is the way they are supposed to fit, But I think that they are a little to baggy for me. I should of got the regular fit. July 31, 2014
The legs were sewn crook We ordered three pair and the fit was fine, However the leg seam was running down the Front of the leg. May 31, 2014
Pockets don't stay tucked in Maybe it's just my body type but the front pockets don't stay tucked in exposing the inner pocket. Have to constantly put hands in pockets to push them back down. Annoying April 20, 2014
Fits like a gunny sack Would like to buy jeans with a 44" waist and 28" inseam that does not fit like a gunny sack. The regular fit jeans do not come in a 28" inseam. Legs in the thigh are way to baggy. February 25, 2014

Premium versus Rugged Wear

I've purchased both the Premium and the Rugged Wear but within a year both begin to wear out around the back pocket and knees. What is the difference between Premium and Rugged Wear. I need the most durable material for the hard work they get.

Answer:
Thanks for your question. We have several different jeans with Premium in the name, and the denim in each can vary. In general, a darker, heavier denim is better suited to withstand stress. Additionally, certain denim blends, such as the three-way blend in our Premium Performance Advanced Comfort Cowboy Cut jean, help the garment last longer. Given the kind of work your jeans are doing, I'd recommend that you try one of our Riggs Workwear by Wrangler products. Both the Tradesman pant and the Utility Jean feature reinforced knee panels, Cordura®-lined back pockets and triple needle stitching.
