THE MAKING OF A LEGEND
Since 1947, Wrangler® has been making history. Now, our 27406 collection is bringing history to life with the very silhouette that started it all. Model No. 11MW was first distributed as the jean for cowboys in local, regional, and national rodeo circuits. It didn’t take long for the style to spread like wildfire. That first five-pocket jean was designed by “Rodeo Ben” Lichtenstein, using 11-ounce left-hand twill denim that could stand up to the rigors and needs of a man who spent a lot of time in and out of a saddle. Today, this legendary selvedge jean is made new again and washed for a slightly worn-in look, with variations in the color and tone of the fabric. Every Greensboro jean in the 27406 collection is made from left-hand twill Cone® White Oak denim that was woven on vintage shuttle looms, resulting in one-of-a-kind denim you won’t find anywhere else. In every pair, you’ll find each of the seven signature Wrangler® details: seven belt loops, flat rivets, a rodeo watch pocket, a rope logo shank, a back yoke-over-body, ‘W’ stitching, and a classic leather patch. These selvedge jeans are made now just as they were then—with cowboys in mind.
