fabric quality fabric was not up to Wrangler standards. After six months frays appeared on various spots of these pants.I only work in a office so no heavy stress was put on these pants. June 29, 2014
Fabric problem. Others are right about this. The others who wrote about a fabric problem with these are correct. I purchased these in the past, and they were great. I'm a 36 x 36, so finding pants is hard. I like 100 percent cotton with pleat for work. But the last pair I purchased in brown shredded on the left and right pocket edges, two of the belt loops, hem, along the left seam, and below the left pocket in about a year. They look like they are 10 years old! My blue and khaki color ones are fine. I wear the blue ones about the same as the brown. I don't wear the khaki ones as often. I've called customer service to find out what is going on. I haven't washed them that much. When I do, I use cold water and dry on medium heat. I hope they correct this problem. I may have to order these again because there doesn't seem to be an alternative from another manufacturer in my size and this color unless I want to spend $100+. January 20, 2014
The fabric is no longer any good...... I have been wearing them daily for many, many years and own about 20 pairs. The older ones hold up and wear perfectly, but my most recent purchase have ALL worn out in the seat to the point of becoming threadbare within only a couple of months. Not sure why the changed the fabric, but something must be done or I will be forced to find another brand of pants. Wrangler, please correct this dramatic flaw and get back the quality I have appreciated for many, many years. August 8, 2013
Not the quality they used to be I have been buying Riatas since they were first introduced. They are a great looking pant, good fit and comfortable. Unfortunately, they fabric they are now being made with is ia far inferior quality than before. After only a few weeks the pockets have begun to wear through in the seat. My older pairs still show no wear. July 12, 2013
almost perfect They look good with boots. The style blends in with other khakis which is good, but is slightly different which is better! I just wish they were more stain resistent. May 8, 2013
I love the pleated front. I've never worn a pair of Wrangler Riata pants until recently. I really like the style. I ordered them because the school where I teach doesn't allow denim to be worn on campus. I am a horseman and western cut clothing is all I wear. Thank goodness there are pants that are western cut and are not jean material. The ONLY drawback with the Riata's is that they have a high waist. I usually wear mid to low rise jeans to fit my shorter torso. If the Riata's and the dress pants were made to fit men with shorter middles, my closet would be full of Riata's and dress jeans/pants.
